HVJ Associates, Inc. Providing You with Award-Winning Engineering Services

Company Background

Herbert V. Johnson, PE, established the firm in 1985. Over the years, we have evolved into one of the largest specialty, minority-owned engineering companies in Texas. We have broadened our service lines by consistently demonstrating technical strength, expertise, intelligent analysis of projects and value-added service to our clients.

HVJ Associates has continued to provide quality, cost-effective specialty services for almost all the landmark projects in the greater Houston area. We have completed hundreds of projects for the City of Houston and Harris County. We are recognized as a leader in our specialties and for our knowledge of Texas soil conditions.

Our impressive record of growth has been spotlighted by reputable organizations both locally and nationally. The Greater Houston Partnership, for example, recognized HVJ Associates as one of the 100 small companies having the greatest impact on Houston business. Inc. magazine cited our company as one of the 500 fastest growing private companies in the nation.

We are proud to have participated in many projects that received the Consulting Engineers Council of Texas (CEC-Texas) Engineering Excellence Awards. HVJ Associates is a certified minority-owned business.

Much of HVJ's business is repeat business. Our accomplishments can be directly attributed to the individual effort and dedication of each HVJ employee and their adherence to high professional standards and ideals.
