Eng., P.E. Arif has over 28 years of experience in civil engineering, including 8 years specifically in Construction Project Management and Materials Testing. His professional background includes work in the private sector, at a research institute, and with multiple government agencies. Notably, he served at two different TxDOT area offices, where he successfully managed a wide array of construction projects. He worked at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) for 20 years,  working in various capacities as a Research Engineer. A leader in the field, he has authored or co-authored over 35 peer-reviewed publications and numerous research reports. Arif earned his Master of Science and Doctor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology. On a personal note, Arif and his wife Anindita, who is also an Aggie, are proud parents to two daughters and one son (future Aggies in the making!) Arif's leadership and experience will be a strong asset to our Construction Materials and Engineering Services department.
