Buffalo Speedway Bridge Open to Traffic - Project Brays Latest Milestone

March 31, 2022

HVJ Associates® is pleased to congratulate our clients BGE, Inc. and Harris County Flood Control District on the opening of  the new Buffalo Speedway Bridge, which is now open to traffic. We are proud to have provided Construction Material Testing Services as we worked with partners on the successful infrastructure project.

The $9.6 million project represents one of the few remaining milestones in, Project Brays, HCFCD’s $480 million initiative to reduce flood risk for residents of Southwest Houston. With four lanes, 10-foot sidewalks, and improved channel capacity, the new bridge brings the extraordinary Project Brays one step closer to fruition by improving safety and travel experiences for surrounding communities.

HVJ’s participation in this project aligned well with our commitment to deep guidance and value to our clients as they serve Texas communities. Throughout the demolition of the old bridge and the construction of its higher, longer, and wider replacement, HVJ worked with our partners to maintain an exceptional quality of services while completing this project within the proposed budget.
