High-Stakes Problem Solving: Improving a Texas Key Corridor

HVJ is a longtime trusted geotechnical partner for the Texas Department of Transportation. In our newest case study, we share a recent TxDOT project in the Bryan I-45 Corridor. As a lifeline connecting major Texas hubs, safety and efficiency are critical for thousands of drivers daily. However, to make the project a reality within a confined right-of-way, we had a tall order for developing a nontraditional solution. 

Sanjeev Sanjeevan, Vice President of HVJ Associates, explains, “I take pride in the high level of client satisfaction that we achieved with this TxDOT Bryan I-45 Corridor project. By developing a solution that overcame the conventional design limitations, HVJ eliminated the need for additional right-of-way and expensive retaining wall alternatives.
