SH 178 is a vital link in the Texas transportation network that supports important trade and commercial activities within the international and tri-state areas of Texas, New Mexico, and Chihuahua. It is an important roadway that serves the Santa Teresa Port of Entry and facilitates trade routes destined for other parts of the United States and Mexico.  This project aims to enhance the connectivity between east-west routes and NM 136 and the Santa Teresa Border Crossing. It will modernize the roadway and facilitate the movement of oversized loads through the I-10/SH 178 interchange, including trucks traveling to/from the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) Intermodal Facility and the Santa Teresa Port of Entry.  Our team is excited to bring our expertise to this critical project that will benefit trade and commercial transportation between the United States and Mexico, and we look forward to working with the JMT team to ensure the success of this project.
