Reliable Materials Testing for a 9,000 Square Foot Airport Cargo Facility

March 22, 2023

We have all felt the effects of disruptions to the supply chain over the past few years and how they can interrupt every facet of life. Air cargo facilities are critical to keeping a city’s supply chain running smoothly, so Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) needed to take action when cargo demand started outpacing the airport’s capacity. In our latest case study, we share our experience completing Construction Materials Engineering and Testing for ABIA’s new $16.5 million cargo facility. HVJ particularly enjoys participating in large projects like this one, knowing they will positively impact the city for many years.

As CoMET Department Manager Rezwan Jahangir explains, “By taking a people-forward approach, our team went the extra mile to provide detailed investigation options and education to gain the confidence of each stakeholder. We enjoyed interacting with the client and their open-minded approach to considering all options. Ultimately, we provided a reliable solution and education to help ABIA plan for future projects.”
