The project encompasses 7.8 miles of improvements along I-2 and I-69C in the cities of McAllen, Pharr, and San Juan, in Hidalgo County. HVJ has extensive experience providing Owner Verification Testing materials testing in projects throughout the state. This project's scope will include soil, concrete, and HMAC materials testing, in which we will analyze and assess the material to ensure it meets all project requirements. As part of the design-build process, we will be closely collaborating with the General Engineering Consultant  ([HDR](https://www.hdrinc.com/)) and the contractor ([DPJV](https://www.dpjvtx.com/html/projectFAQs.html)) through each step. The reconstruction, valued at approximately $303 million, will provide critical operational improvements, including the full reconstruction of the I-2/I-69C interchange in all four directions. The widening of I-2 from six to eight lanes (four in each direction), reconfiguration of the main lane ramps on I-2, and improvements to the approaches/departures from the direct connectors will make driving safer and more convenient for the many drivers who travel those roadways. We look forward to bringing our deep expertise and experience to this project. Our project manager has completed numerous OVT projects of this type, and our technicians and staff have many years of experience.
