Project Announcement: Clements High School Rebuild Project

March 5, 2025

Clements High School, part of Fort Bend ISD, had a sinking foundation and significant structural issues, including cracked plumbing throughout the building and outdated electrical systems. This prompted the district to build a new school to replace the old facility. HVJ was chosen to provide geotechnical services for the construction of the new campus, which emphasizes energy efficiency and sustainability.

VP Sanjeev Sanjeevan explains how HVJ's extensive expertise will be essential for overcoming project challenges. “The project site is located in an area with highly expansive soil. This can result in shrink/swell movements in the foundations due to moisture fluctuations. Our geotechnical experts will leverage their experience and problem-solving skills to assess the subsurface conditions and deliver a stable, cost-effective foundation solution, ensuring the school building will effectively serve students for many years to come."
