Employee Feature: Mohammad Aghahadi

We are spotlighting Mohammad Aghahadi, a Senior Project Manager and valued member of the HVJ Associates® team. Mohammad Aghahadi is a seasoned professional whose wealth of knowledge and experience continues to drive our success.

Mohammad earned a PhD from Texas A&M University.  During his academic career, he particularly enjoyed his TxDOT-sponsored research on the topic of the “Interaction between Horizontally Loaded Drilled Shafts and MSE Walls.”

With 16 years of combined research and industry experience, Mohammad's career reflects his diversified expertise. Here are a few of his favorite types of work that he's completed throughout his professional journey:

  • Transportation Design-Build Projects: Mohammad has played a pivotal role in major transportation projects, including the loop 357 border highway-west extension, the 183 North Mobility Project, and the I-35 NEX south. His focus was on bridge foundations (deep foundations), pavement, and the stability of various retaining walls such as Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls, Cast-in-place (CIP) walls, Pier walls, and Soil Nail walls.
  • Subway and Water Transmission Tunnel Design
  • Foundation Design and Forensic Studies for Commercial Buildings
  • Ground Improvement, Specializing in Deep Soil Mixing (DSM) 

His favorite saying, “Focus on the process, not the outcome. The results will surprise you." reflects his commitment to thoughtful planning and problem-solving during each stage of a project.
